Design / concept for a renovation and preservation of the Logistics Distribution Center at Kleine Tocht 44 in Zaandam with existing offices. The assignment is to clad / accentuate the elongated character of the mass. It is a kind of packaging in which the facade articulation is given a variable texture. The existing offices can contrast in mass (solid) and color. By applying characteristic horizontal articulation, precise detailing and materialization, this overall complex will start to stand out in its surroundings. Fragments where proposals are made for materialization and detailing will be elaborated as well as the offices and new ‘docks’.
