The former elementary school at Tasmanstraat 15 in Amsterdam, now in use as a studio building, is undergoing a preservation and restoration project commissioned by Gemeente Amsterdam, Gemeentelijk Vastgoed.
This historic building, originally known as the Public School for Ordinary Primary Education number 88, was built in a Berlagian style and named the Tasman School in 1922. It later housed the Van Noordt School, previously located on Spaarndammerstraat.
This restoration and preservation will preserve the character of the building while adapting it to modern requirements and sustainable use as a studio building.
