January 2025 - INARCHITECTS

Making real estate more sustainable

Inarchitects’ goal is to accelerate the energy transition and contribute to meeting the goal of making the existing built environment circular, climate adaptive and energy neutral by 2050. Not only do we comply with new laws and regulations, but, because of our position at the front of the construction chain, we have a major influence on the application of sustainable circular principles, materials and design methods. By using the Historic Building Information Modeling (HBIM) method, we can make existing buildings more sustainable in a very targeted way.

Why sustainability with Inarchitects?

Accelerating the energy transition

Through digitization and a methodical approach.

Cost saving

Through accurate measurements, fewer movements to the construction site, fewer construction errors and energy savings.

Optimal cooperation in the chain

Using a master model for all disciplines and faster decision making.

Accelerate through our method

Phase 1

SO analysis (feasibility study)

Working with a structural engineer, cost expert and a consulting firm in sustainability, we create an SO analysis appropriate for a specific location. The goal is energy label A / A+, depending on the condition and use of the building. Any modifications and/or extensions will be sketched and calculated by the cost expert.

Phase 2

Scanning, digitizing and linking

The second action is to scan the existing property. We do this very accurately with a “VLX Mobile wearable mapping system. Then the data are processed in a program and prepared in a “point-cloud. We can import the point cloud into our modeling programs: HBIM (Historic Building Interaction Moddeling) with this we create an “as built” 3D model of the existing or new building.

Phase 3

Getting Ready for Tender

The final design provided with specifications and descriptions are going to be used to select an appropriate contractor(s). The BIM model will be used by all parties (contractor and subcontractors) for engineering of facilities and structures.
